Deer Browsing near Main Gate
One of our Columbian black-tailed deer (Odocolleus hemionus columbianus) looks up from the lush grass. The dark green coast live oak (Quercus agrifolia) looks dowdy beneath the showy valley oak (Q. lobata) on the right, sporting its new light-green leaves. A new day, 3/29/2016, from here on. I have just driven in the gate: 4:30 pm.
