Giant trillium (T. chloropetalum) with miner's lettuce (Claytonia perfoliata). Miner's lettuce has an unusual circular leaf, all around the stem. The flowers spring from the center of the leaf -- here, just starting. The colored leaves of the trillium are obvious. Five-fold California buckeye leaves are at the right.
