This valley oak (Quercus lobata) sits on Road F, just after the "Mistletoe Valley Oak" as you walk from Escobar Gate. Trail 16, bordering the chaparral, joins Road F here. Looking closely, one can see both last year's old leaves and this year's new bright-green ones.
