Elizabeth Sarmiento of the Committee for Green Foothills set up a hike along the Bay. Many CGF stalwarts attended, such as Peter & Sue LaTourette and Jerry Hearn. What made this hike special were the many attendees from East Palo Alto, adjacent to the baylands. The walk explored Ravenswood Open Space Preserve and Cooley Landing. Several people gave informative talks, in Spanish or English, at several points along the expedition. Elizabeth translated.
We were welcomed at the starting point by a concert from a mockingbird, who sang and flew around as we gathered.
