Coyote brush, the "mother of the chaparral", and other chaparral plants have established themselves in the grassland on the next rise, across Road F. Oaks, especially valley oaks, march the ridgeline. Skyline stretches in the far distance, across the San Andreas Fault, with Windy Hill in the center. Mist clings to the ocean side of Windy Hill.
