A Jasper Ridge neighbor builds close to his property line, in the woodland-suburban interface, prime fire country. Yellow flowers of sticky monkeyflower (Mimulus aurantiacus), almost-turqouise, fragrant California sagebrush (Artemesia californica), & hardy coyotebrush (Baccharis pilularis) are prominent in the flammable chaparral beyond the grassland, this side of the oak woodland.
