Jack Owicki writes: "And the tiny critter on the Tidy Tips petal ... is a Globular Springtail (order Symphypleona; in old taxonomy this was family Sminthuridae). Springtails got kicked out of the insect club a while ago for having the wrong kind of mouthparts; now they're just non-insect hexapods. Globular Springtails are among the cutest arthropods, though they're so small that it's hard to get enough magnification to appreciate them. See:
