Views at all scales, mostly in or near the Global Change Experiment. There was a controlled burn there on 7/18/2011. By 9/24, much life had returned.

Many of these images are macros of Thistle plants, near but not in the Global Change Experiment. Backlighting of the fantastic shapes, hairs covered in dewdrops. There are also closeups of Tarweed, growing in the burned portion of the Global Change Experiment, as well as a Lizard and some Beeflies returning to the burned area.
