Deer Kill

Deer Kill

A newly-killed deer on Road E by Searsville Lake. Classic signs of a Mountain-Lion kill. Note: better naturalists than I say that this deer died in childbirth, and that the shoulder wound may be incidental. I do know that Vultures feasted here -- maybe even before this photo was taken, though it is apparently pretty soon after death.
