Hollywood

Toyon (Heteromeles arbutifolia), aka Hollywood, decorates the Chaparral for the holidays. One can smell the fermentation of the berries while walking the trails. It reminds me of the smell when we press the wine grapes at Portola Valley Ranch. Chamise (Adenostoma fasciculatum) is at the left.
