Cooper's Hawk (Accipiter cooperii) in Valley Oak (Quercus lobata)

As I was standing on the trail, a Cooper's Hawk swept silently into this tree nearby. It stayed for 28 minutes before gliding down toward the lake. My camera was clicking, and the hawk certainly knew I was there.
