Western Scrub Jay (Aphelocoma californica) with Acorn

Many of the Jays we saw had acorns in their beaks. Some flew 100 meters or more with an acorn. They disperse the acorns. This Jay is sitting in the common Coast Live Oak (Quercus agrifolia var agrifolia).
