Here are some good images of raptors, perched, taking off, and in flight. Mira needed to collect "experienced" Argentine Ants from Road B near the SLAC fence, then drove across the Preserve to confront them with "naive" Harvester Ants on the Serpentine Ridge, Road F. While she was experimenting, I walked some of Trails 9, c, and 10. Then we drove back via Road E and the causeway at the upper end of Searsville Lake -- to make a complete circuit. This collection contains some raptors in flight and a landscape image taken at the Escobar Gate end of the Preserve on 9/15, and even some from 9/19. Closer images, insects etc, are in "Smaller Adventures" of 9/15.
