Two ant species (Messor andrei & Prenolepis imparis) are observed. Interesting behavior of the Prenolepis, in conjunction with two mating beetles. Friends, foes, or accidental neighbors? Some images of individual Messor going into and out of a large anthill on Trail 15, Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve.
