Indian Warrior beneath Oaks

Indian Warrior (Pedicularis densiflora) lives in symbiosis with the roots of the Valley Oak (Quercus lobata). From Road F near Trail 15, near Escobar Gate.

The Indian Warrior completely disappears in the summer. See near the end of the 8/9/2010 gallery.
