Photographer Robert Buelteman, who has contributed so many photographs to POST for so long, led a photography workshop at SMIP Ranch, the home of the Djerassi Resident Artists Program. The event was sponsored by POST. Here are a few images from the day.
SMIP Ranch is set in a wonderful natural setting. Hiking there can be somewhat disorienting. Someone used to seeing the result of natural processes, sometimes healing the intrusions of civilization, finds intentional artifacts which comment on and complement the natural surroundings. Human creations are an active part of this landscape, not just something to be recovered from.
