Ashore, my companions saw two kit foxes while I was busy taking photos :-(. Then I saw a golden eagle. They eat kit foxes and the Nature Conservancy has been trying to encourage them to move elsewhere, and leave Santa Cruz Island to the bald eagles and kit foxes. (The goldens were attracted to Santa Cruz Island by the introduced pigs, & displaced the bald eagles. Now the pigs are gone and TNC is trying to go back to before pigs...)
