Woodland wildflowers are at the peak of their bloom: shooting star, Fremont's star lily (!), buttercup, man-root. Trees and shrubs are putting out new leaves: valley oak, black oak, poison oak. I chose one of the few rainy (rain-ish?) days this spring to survey the landscape from the Escobar Gate, just out Road F to the lonely valley oak, then back via Trail 15. I hope the serpentine grassland wildflowers will bloom soon!
This collection is a duplicate of the one in "A Day at a Time". I do want all of these images to appear together, to show the flow of the morning. Yet, some are landscapes and some are macros. Where to put them? Now they are in both places. Here in the macro gallery, you can compare with my visit of 3/28/2015: quite a change over the course of March 2015 in the exactly same area. The shooting star disappear.
