"Phainopepla Tree", Road F. December 18, 2009 at 12:53 pm. Phil Leighton led me and Kris Olson on a successful trip to see a Phainopepla in this tree (see the "Birds" gallery). This was 3 days before the official Christmas Bird Count and the Phainopepla would have counted -- but I saw one on the actual day, Dec. 21!
