SLAC and Jasper Ridge (3)

SLAC and Jasper Ridge (3)

Portola Road is at the bottom. You can just see green Middle Searsville Lake at the right, past the wing. The main Searsville Lake and the Sun Research Center are prominent. Almost all of Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve is visible here. It encompasses the wooded land starting to the right of SLAC, back to the open field beyond; the chaparral- and forest-covered ridge, with the bare ridgetop; and the lower slopes of the ridge, interspersed with grassland, coming down to the right.
