Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve and Farther North

Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve and Farther North

Chaparral dominates the left (SW) of JRBP; grassland and Road F are toward the right (NE). There is a good view of part of the blue oak forest and the grassland beyond. I think that is Road E across the chaparral at the left; I get a glimpse of the main Searsville Lake at the left, just beyond. I suppose the linear feature in the chaparral near the bottom is Trail 9 or Trail c (?), with Trail 9 continuing up (in the photo) through the chaparral (actually, down...). Beyond JRBP, SLAC cuts a straight line; there is a large horse facility in Woodside; Hwy 280; Crystal Springs Reservoir in the San Andreas valley, which points straight at JRBP.
