4/22/06. PA Baylands palm tree bird breeding area, about noon. Great Egret (Ardea alba) building a nest -- some nesting material came from right next to the parking lot (!), some from across the tidal bay right there. One took off from near the parking lot right near 3 of us, circled a couple of times around the palm trees, and landed. I got a couple of good shots. Snowy Egret (Egretta thula), mating (!) and standing around. Black-crowned Night Heron (Nycticorax nycticorax) nest-building and hanging out. I wish I had a faster-focusing Canon lens!
