Jameson suggested we take a sunset hike to see the moon rise over Delicate Arch. Rushing ahead to catch the fading sunlight on the arch, I veered to the right of the "trail" -- the most-traveled route across the hard sandstone. I was able to catch a unique perspective of the moonrise behind the arch. Then, I found my way back to my anxious family. We watched the moon climb in the darkening sky as the stars came out. We hiked together back down, in the light of the full moon, beneath a sky filled with stars.
