Raven Warning

Raven Warning

At least two Ravens circled me overhead, loudly protesting my presence -- or were they warning others I was there? As I stood back up and walked toward Escobar Gate, passing the dead (now fragrant!) King Snake, they followed abobe, circling, calling out. What prompted this attention? They first appeared as I was photographing a Larkspur, lying prone in the middle of the road. Were thery upset at my unusual behavior? I then passed the dead King Snake. Were they defending their carrion?? Though I didn't feel in danger, I definitely didn't feel welcome either.
