Helen and Dan Quinn help Justyne Schnupp lead this visit, organized by Sarah Dao at Applied Materials. A large group enjoyed the walk on this perfect morning. We saw birds, wildflowers, and more, and learned about the local ecosystems, as well as the "ecosystem" of organizations that has helped make the Bay Area a wonderful place, for people and wildlands: public cities and open space districts such as San Jose and the Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority; private land conservation organizations such as POST, the Peninsula Open Space Trust; and private advocacy and organizing groups such as Green Foothills. (In 2019, he first three joined in a public-private partnership to protect this property, as long advocated and fought for by Green Foothills.)
