Carrizo Plain Vista

Carrizo Plain Vista

Yellow Common Goldfields (Lasthenia gracilis) carpet the plain. Two masses of dark blue Great Valley Phacelia (P. ciliata) take over at the right and center back. At the left, the purple mass is mostly tiny non-native Red-stem Filaree (Erodium cicutarium). Looking closely, I also see some Desert Fiddleneck (Amsinckia tellellata), just in front of the phacelia on the left. 11:10 am.
