A select group of Rotarians hikes in Portola Valley, then enjoys a paella feast by master chef Ken Sanchez.

Special thanks:

Sally Tomlinson, for having the inspiration, putting this event together, and following up.

Ken Sanchez, and his wife Flora, for the wonderful feast. The paella was fantastic. The wines were delicious and appropriate.

Jon Stoumen for providing the gear to prepare such a feast.

Helen and Dan Quinn for their home and hospitality. Dan led a hike through Portola Valley Ranch and up into the Coal Mine Ridge Nature Preserve. Helen provided two salads to set off the paella, and made sure the home was welcoming for the guests.

The guests, for bidding on this at the centennial auction. Your contributions help the Palo Alto Rotary help others, locally and around the world.

Ralph Adams -- who also told us about the construction project at Corte Madera School, which we saw near the Frog Pond.
