Drawn by the unusual sight of two hawks flying together with talons down, I follow them with my camera for a minute 20 seconds, Even though it is not mating season (as far as I know), I believe these Red-tailed Hawks are courting, strengthening their bond.

I have heard that females are generally somewhat larger than males in this species.

Look carefully, especially at frames 10 and 11.

This is one more interesting encounter near the conclusion of a most interesting outing.
