Goldfields Explosion (2)

Goldfields Explosion (2)

Goldfields proliferate around the serpentine rocks, interspersed with Owl's-clover. A Valley Oak with Mistletoe in its crown and Toyon at its feet stands at the edge of the forest. Blue Oaks yield to Coast Live Oaks on the hill beyond, showing subtly different hues of green in their new spring leaves. Birding Transect Trail, 9:20 am.
