Cloverdale Ranch covers almost 7000 acres near Butano and Ano Nuevo State Parks -- six times the size of Golden Gate Park. Managed by the Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST), some parts are leased to agricultural tenants. The part we walked was grazed by cattle.

POST arranged a socially distant hike -- one pair of hikers every 15 minutes on a one-way loop.

The light was not great for photography. The Bull Thistle were full of insects -- an insect on every other plant. I also saw butterflies (actually "moths") and a lizard.

Afterwards, a snack by Gazos Creek.
