Wow. Green Foothills outdid themselves this year. Their annual gathering, Nature's Inspiration, featured a spectacular location: Wickett Ranch, in the far reaches of Woodside beyond Skyline, with a view to the fog over the Pacific. An old furnace, built to burn sawmill waste, repurposed as a concert hall: wonderful acoustics inside the empty steel structure! A tree house up high in a redwood forest. An outstanding awardee, Joe Cotchett, a long-term environmental litigator with an inspiring speech -- why had I never heard of him before? And as usual "wonderful people" as speakers and fellow guests, including Lennie Roberts, Pete McCloskey, and many others.

The first photos here are of Wickett Ranch and the concert in the old furnace. Be warned: the last half are all of speakers, inspiring to hear but maybe not to see...

Thanks, CGF, for another wonderful day! And thanks for your fifty years (!) protecting our wonderful environment from inappropriate "development" -- and still going strong.
