Lone Valley Oak and Toyon Oak

Lone Valley Oak and Toyon Oak

Two iconic trees. The Lone Valley Oak is on the left. The valley oak near the center, on the Birding Transect Trail, with a red-bedecked toyon bush at its feet, has its own folder, near this one. The buck must have walked along the ridgeline from the Lone Valley Oak to the Toyon Oak -- but it did not strike my attention until it was halfway. From the Birding Transect Trail, near Trail 15. 8:17 am.
