SLAC

SLAC

Built as the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, it stretches about 10 km from the injector (toward the bottom, just past the JRBP boundary) to the former end stations in the distance. Stanford Campus, Palo Alto, and the Bay lie beyond, building haze. The horse park is across Sand Hill Road to the left. Highway 280 crosses under its twin overpasses, then crosses over SLAC. Jasper Ridge encompasses the oak-covered hills on the left. Whiskey Hill Road runs along the bottom, this side of the horse park. Joan Baez lives nearby.
