Coming back from our morning walk, we passed this group of bucks and fawns (?) in the tall grass, in Mader Valley. (I think these are fawns. I have seen an adult doe with two tiny fawns recently, also in Mader Valley. These look smaller than does.)

One fawn was grooming a buck.

It is nice to have such relaxed family scenes, to share the land with our neighbors. Our dog, Grizzly, was not too interested -- he is more alert to squirrels.

Thanks, Miriam and PVR, for leaving this tall grass until this time in the year. It is appreciated.
