A walk across the causeway at the upper end of Searsville Lake, with floodwater again covering recently-deposited ground, and up along a rain-swollen Corte Madera Creek. Fungi flourish. Grey skies highlight lace lichen, draping bare valley oaks. Sodden soil. And a true sign of spring: hound's tongue in bloom, on the bank of the creek!
