Jameson led us on an adventure in the Fiery Furnace -- a wild maze of rock canyons between fantastic massive red-rock walls. No trails: we were allowed to walk only on the bare rocks and on the sandy bottoms of the washes (not the ridged sand and dirt, full of life, that stays through dry and wet times). We did find our way, in and back out. We saw some wildlife as well.
