Spring Flowers in the Serpentine, from Above
Pink owl's-clover (Castilleja densiflora ssp. densiflora) and yellow California goldfields (Lasthenia californica) ae prominent. White California plantain (plantago erecta) grow among the goldfields. You can see a California poppy plant (Eschscholzia californica) at the right. Serpentine rocks are scattered about. From Trail 15, 8:57 am. A good day to lead a photography tour. Please leave a comment and ID other plants! (This is the last macro image from the photo shoot; now I will start a flower ID expedition with Diane Renshaw & Ann Lambrecht.)
