Red-winged Blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus) on Serpentine Rock (Detail)

Red-winged Blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus) on Serpentine Rock (Detail)

This and the following are all of the same bird. Probably a female? Phil Leighton writes: "You clearly captured a Red Winged Blackbird. The single brownish bird on the rock you would think might be the female, but the bill shape does not seem right. Could it be a young Robin?" Since it was the same bird, I opt for blackbird. More images of the same bird are in a neighboring collection taken today.
