A wide variety of trees on the sandstone outcrop, past the level grassland -- including coast redwood (Sequoia sempervirens), douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii -- not a true fir), California Bay (Umbellularia californica), and Valley Oak (Quercus lobata) covered in lace lichen (Ramalina menziesii).
