Adventures with a macro lens toward the end of spring, the beginning of summer. Late-spring flowers include "farewell to spring" (Clarkia spp.), larkspur (Delphinium spp.), chamise (Adenostoma fasciculatum), & clay mariposa lily (Calochortus argillosus). There is even a rare California Indian pink (Silene californica). Insects and spiders are active as the land dries up and the late flowers bloom.
