Indian Warrior beneath Oaks

Indian Warrior (Pedicularis densiflora) relies on these Valley Oaks (Quercus Lobata) for some nutrients. California Sagebrush (Artemesia californica) borders the Chaparral in the background. Road F just past the first intersection with Trail 9, coming from Escobar Gate. This is a good spring for Indian Warrior here.
