Harvester Ants (Messor andrei) in combat. I think there are 4 ants in all, but it is hard to tell. The ant at the far right has a grip on the other ant's neck. Some battles are slow, with one ant winning a good hold and hanging on. This battle was extremely fast -- perhaps because of the higher temperature in the warm sun (?) The ants tumbled through the long grass and were hard to keep up with.
