Many annual grasses, brought to California by the Spaniards, have turned brown (or golden, as Californians like to say). Fragrant Tarweed gives a bluish-green cast to the grassland bordering Road F at the right. You can see the Stanford radio dish and the East Bay Hills in the distance.
