Juvenile Red-tailed Hawk (Buteo jamaicensis). Above Trail 10 just south of the Blue Oak grove. Anne Rosenthal: "Band across belly plus dark mark on leading edge of wing indicates red-tailed hawk. Lack of red in tail means juvenile."
