Spring is here! Warrior's plume, hound's tongue, and other early spring flowers are out. New leaves are sprouting on buckeye and valley oak. Birds are active, getting ready for new chicks. A great day for a Stanford Family Weekend tour, Feb. 23.

Nearby folders show more activity for the great egret -- including catching a lizard -- and acorn woodpeckers, both photographed at the same time on Feb 24 from the road near the Sun Research Center.
