From a rare Phainopepla to the common Scrub Jay, birds are in all ecosystems in all seasons at Jasper Ridge. Almost half of these images are of a colony of Acorn Woodpecker near the Sun Docent Center. Many are of birds in flight -- harder to do than birds at rest!
